When this service matters
Aging roofs, recurring leaks, soft decking, or insurance-driven replacements need more than a new surface layer. A Structural Artiste re-roof rebuilds the water-shedding system: underlayment, ice-and-water protection, ventilation, and flashing — so your home stays dry through years of Portland Metro rain, not just the first dry week after install.
Why Portland Metro & Vancouver
Typical asphalt architectural re-roofs in the metro often land roughly in the mid-teens to mid-twenties (thousands) for common home sizes, with steeper West Hills / Lake Oswego access and metal or tile systems higher — but only an on-site measure is accurate. We price for your layers, pitch, decking, and disposal, then explain every cost driver in plain language.

Questions about roof replacement
How long does a re-roof take?
Most single-family homes finish in 1–3 days depending on size, layers, weather, and material. Steep or complex roofs can take longer.
Tear-off vs overlay — what’s recommended?
Tear-off is usually the better long-term choice in our climate so we can inspect the deck and reset flashings. Overlays are only considered when code and roof condition allow — we will tell you which path fits.
Do you handle permits (Portland BDS / Multnomah / Clark)?
Yes. We coordinate required permits with the appropriate jurisdiction for Portland, surrounding OR cities, and Clark County WA.
Can you work with my insurance claim?
Yes. We document damage clearly with photos and can coordinate with adjusters when you ask us to.
What warranties do you offer?
Manufacturer system warranties plus Structural Artiste workmanship options (including 10-year workmanship where applicable). Details are in your written proposal.
What’s the best time of year to replace a roof in Portland?
Drier stretches from late spring through early fall are easiest for scheduling, but we install year-round when weather windows allow. Emergency dry-in is available anytime.
