Standing seam metal roofing at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa in Madras, OR
Commercial standing seam metal roofing for Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa in Madras — bright red panels across lodge gables and a hospitality-scale re-roof in Central Oregon.

In August 2026 we installed a commercial standing seam metal roof at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa in Madras, OR — a hospitality campus in the high-desert hills of Central Oregon. The scope is commercial metal roofing at resort scale: bright red standing seam across multiple lodge gables, with a darker charcoal standing-seam section on a lower roof in the wide landscape shot.
On the job
The buildings are rustic lodge architecture — timber columns, a circular gable window over the main entrance, and a stack of intersecting gables that read as one resort, not a single box. Madras weather is not Portland moss: sun, wind, and high-desert temperature swings. Standing seam still fits — concealed fasteners, vertical seams that shed rain and snowmelt, and a red metal roof that holds as a campus identity. For system options, see our guide to metal roofing and standing seam and residential metal roofs.
Photos from the pool house and clubhouse show the job mid-renovation: finished red metal on one wing, white and black underlayment still open on others, and drained pools in the foreground. That is a hospitality re-roof in progress — sequenced around a campus, not a vacant warehouse tear-off. Similar capital work lives under commercial roof replacement.
On the ground, an NTM roll former was staged with a coil of the same bright red metal. Forming panels at the resort lets the crew run lengths matched to each gable — fewer splices on long lodge eaves, and panels that fit the actual roof. One video walks the completed red field, vents, and skylights against the Madras hills; a second clip shows the former and a finished red panel on the rack with guest buildings already closed in behind it.
One field photo shows a pickup and a trailer lettered Jesse Roofing at the lodge entrance — a crew and equipment shot from the job site, not a rebrand. This write-up is a Structural Artiste LLC project case study.
