Standing seam metal roofing at Roby's Furniture Store in Warrenton, OR

Commercial standing seam metal roofing for Roby's Furniture Store in Warrenton — coastal-ready panels, custom HVAC curb flashing, and on-site KR-24 forming.

In August 2026 we completed a commercial standing seam metal roof at Roby's Furniture Store in Warrenton, OR — a new retail building on the Oregon coast, just inland from the mouth of the Columbia. The scope was a full new roof installation in standing seam: long bronze panels, matching ridge and edge metal, and rooftop mechanicals flashed into the field.

Warrenton sits in salt air, wind, and a long wet season. Standing seam is a strong fit for that exposure: concealed fasteners, vertical seams that shed rain, and a continuous metal surface that does not rely on a grid of exposed screws. On a commercial building with a simple primary pitch and several roof planes, the system also keeps a clean line against the olive and tan vertical siding.

The details that decide whether a metal roof stays dry are rarely in the open field. Rooftop HVAC units sit on raised curbs wrapped in the same bronze metal as the panels, with custom flashing that ties each curb into the standing seams instead of a ring of sealant. That curb work is where coastal wind-driven rain usually finds a path — so it was built as part of the roof, not an afterthought.

On the ground, a KR-24 roll former was staged next to the telehandler and boom lift. Forming panels at the building lets the crew run long, continuous lengths matched to each slope — fewer end laps on a long commercial eave, and panels that fit the actual roof instead of a stock cut list. The machine on site is what the photos show; we are not claiming a proprietary forming package beyond that.

The building was still taking siding and house wrap while the roof went on — a typical new-construction sequence. Mid-job photos show the dark standing seam already closed in over a long commercial footprint, with safety brackets along the ridge and metal window awnings picking up the same dark finish.
